Myriam Padron, Psy.D.
Myriam Padron, Psy.D.,is a licensed psychologist in Florida. She is a clinician at NBI, providing individual, group, and family therapy, in addition to psychoeducational/psychological testing.
Dr. Padron has specialized training in treating obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), panic attacks, phobias, social anxiety, generalized anxiety, LGBTQA concerns, and eating disorders. She completed rotations throughout her graduate school career in Nova Southeastern University’s OCD and related disorders clinic and the Renfrew Center for eating disorders. In 2018, Dr. Padron developed and implemented the Virtual Reality Therapy (VRT) program in Florida International University, which enhanced the delivery of Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) treatment for individuals with OCD and phobias.
Dr. Padron primarily uses cognitive behavioral, interpersonal-focused, and acceptance and commitment therapy-based techniques throughout treatment. Her specialty includes integrating ERP in a variety of different ways, best tailored for the client. Dr. Padron also provides psychoeducational and psychological testing that may be used for appropriate treatment recommendations or school accommodations.
