Denise Hardt, BCBA, CMHP, Ph.D. (Brazil)
Denise C. Hardt Pires is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Certified Mental Health Professional (CMHP) and presently she is working at Neurobehavioral Institute - NBI since 2016.
Ms. Hardt is a licensed Psychologist in her native country, Brazil. She relocated to the United States in 2013. She received her Bachelors in Psychology from Mogi das Cruzes University (Universidade de Mogi das Cruzes) and her Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from the Catholic Univeristy of Campinas (Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Campinas). She earned her Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Sao Paulo University (Universidade de São Paulo - USP).
Ms. Hardt completed her specialization in Hospital and Health Psychology at Santa Casa de São Paulo. She was the coordinator of the psychology division for the Oncology Center of Mogi Cruzes, São Paulo. Subsequently, she became a professor at São Judas Tadeu Univeristy (Universitdade São Judas Tadeu), where for 21 years she taught many subjects with the primary focus in Behavioral Therapies. She also supervised internships and was a committee member and chair for masters and doctoral dissertations. She coordinated the Psychology Program at the University Braz Cubas for 10 years. In total, she has 34 years of experience working with Behavioral Therapy.
As she is presently not eligible to be licensed to practice as a psychologist, and in accordance with the State of Florida and American Psychological Association (APA) guidelines, Ms. Hardt’s scope of practice for NBI is based on the certifications that she holds as BCBA and CHMP. At NBI, like CMHP she works under the supervision of a FL Licensed Psychologist and a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst.
