Danielle Norona-Blocker, Psy.D., is a licensed psychologist and the Associate Director of Assessments at the Neurobehavioral Institute (NBI). She received a Bachelors degree in Psychology with a minor in Sports Medicine from the University of Miami, where she participated in research on early childhood interventions and Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). Dr. Norona-Blocker earned a Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. Throughout her graduate studies, she received specialized training in assessment and early intervention for children with ASD and Developmental Disabilities, Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), behavioral parent training, assessment and treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Anxiety Disorders, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD).

Dr. Norona-Blocker completed her internship at the Faulk Center for Counseling where she provided evidence-based individual, family, and group therapy for a wide range of psychological conditions. During her internship, she conducted psychological and psychoeducational assessments, facilitated Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) groups for adults and teens, as well as social skills groups in Palm Beach County schools. Dr. Norona-Blocker completed her two-year postdoctoral residency at NBI, where she gained further specialized training in Anxiety disorders and OCD and related conditions.

Dr. Norona-Blocker specializes in the assessment and treatment of ASD, Anxiety, OCD, Social Anxiety Disorder, ADHD, ODD, and behavioral parent training. She utilizes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to treat children, adolescents, and families with an array of presenting needs.

Furthermore, she facilitates several groups focused on social skills and social anxiety at NBI. She is a certified provider for an evidence-based social skills intervention called the Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS®) for Young Adults.

Dr. Norona-Blocker also completes psychological, psychoeducational, developmental, and Autism diagnostic evaluations (utilizing the ADOS-2) for children, adolescents, and adults. She oversees the evaluations completed at NBI and provides supervision to the postdoctoral residents and staff.
